The Archive Group exists mainly to promote the preservation of photographs.

The Archive Group was formed to collect and protect photographs and documents relating to Marshchapel.  The aim is to form a tangible archive, which will be kept in a specially prepared store in the Village Hall meeting room.  This will allow access to the general public by prior arrangement.

However, we also thought, in this computer age, that a website, accessible to all should be available.  This is in its infancy and over time more and more photographs, with descriptions/question marks, will be added.

If anyone has any photographs or documents that we could use, could you please contact us.  Photographs can be emailed as a JPEG attachment or we can scan your original photographs into our computers and then return them to you.

An archive is a store of memories but this does not mean everything has to remain at one moment in time.  As we are archiving for the future then recent photographs of events, buildings etc. are certainly acceptable.

If anyone needs any help sending pictures via email then please telephone first.
