Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held in the Parish Meeting Room on Tuesday 27th July, 2021 at 7.30 pm

 

Present:  Cllrs. P Rickett (Chair);  C. Henderson,  R. Cordy, H. Mason, S. Atkin,  R. Parkinson and           V. Claricoates

Apologies:  Cllr S Osbourne (reasons accepted)

Also present: Cllr D McNally (LCC).

16.21  - Chair

 

Chair welcomed everybody back to our first ‘face to face’ meeting since June 2020 and thanked everybody for making it easy to carry on the business of the Council through our Zoom meetings.

Date of meeting was changed due to the extension of lockdown by 4 weeks.

 

17.21 -  Open meeting for Members of Public

 

No members of public present.

 

18.21 – County Councillor and District Councillor Reports

 

Cllr McNally reported that the County Council will be stopping the need for people to book when they go to the tip at Louth from 1st September, Cllr Parkinson commented that he hadn’t found it very useful since it was impossible to book a slot.

A litter picking kit will be available from the library for anyone who is keen to pick up litter in the villages.

Tomorrrow will be the official day that the alliance with South Holland will go ahead, one year after alliance with Boston took place.  It is envisaged there will be a saving on staff.

Very recently, in the press, it has come to light that Theddlethorpe is being considered as a possible site to bury nuclear waste.  At this moment in time there is limited information but it was stressed that it will be a very long consultation period over a number of years and a public referendum would decide the outcome.

 

19.21 – Clerk to receive declarations of pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest on any Agenda item in accordance with Localism Act and the Council’s Code of Conduct and Standing Orders.

 

Cllr Rickett declared and interest in a planning application that has come in but is not yet on the Agenda as we are awaiting further information from the Planning Officer.

 

20.21 – Minutes

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were moved and signed along with all the minutes from the Zoom meetings since June 2020.

 

21.21  -  Matters Arising

 

The repaint of the multi-play equipment looks great.

Fencing quote has been accepted, (2 obtained) and it has been pencilled in for October.
